Bought this unti as an upgrade but as soon as the warranty was up the unit refused to print due to carriage error. The good things are. Sold My parets a more basic HP model thinking this would be an upgrade. Not a smart move. Looking for a tech gift that’s not too expensive?

Steer clear of this monster paperweight and look at another brand.
I’ve not had this problem with other printers. Won’t do that again. If I were not super busy I’d have taken it back to the store but didn’t get there soon enough.
To make things worse, if you print at the frequency necessary to keep the print heads from drying out, you will pay quite dearly for ink to feed this pig. I use their laser printers on a daily basis in my business printing thousands of pages a month and highly recommend theirand series of printers. This all-in-one is a money pit for ink 71300xi. Great for home office all-in-one unit.
I used to swear by HP, but after getting stuck with this lemon, I will never endorse nor purchase another HP printer again When I called HP service center, the response was that I should just buy a refurbished one. The more basic HP model I gave to my parents is still working perfectly. If the printer would print as fast as it burns through ink cartridges, then it would be a nice piece of equipment but rather the speed of the print is as slow as molasses.
Copying Max Copying Speed. I got this printer from a friend so it wasn’t new when I first started playing with it. The bad things are. Disappointed This all-in-one is a money pit for ink cartridges.
